Clase 7
We revised
how to say the following in Spanish….
A skyscraper
– un rascacielos
To go abroad – ir al extranjero
To dress up –
disfrazarse
To ski –
esquiar
To do a parachute jump – tirarse en paracaídas
We continued
with the theme of “ya” and “todavía”
Ya – already
Todavía no – not yet
But
remember, we use “ya” in the question, even though in English we use “yet”.
Ya has comprado
el pan – have you bought the bread yet?
No, todavía no he comprado el pan – I haven’t bought it
yet.
Sí, ya he
comprado el pan – Yes, I have already bought the bread.
Some more
practice here….

We then
practiced the sentences with the pronouns instead of the nouns….
¿Ya has comprado el pan?
Sí, ya lo he comprado.
In this
sentence we use “lo” to stand in for “el pan”, so as to avoid repetition.
¿Ya has puesto la mesa?
No, todavía no la he puesto.
We use “la” for “la mesa”.
¿Ya has comido las patatas?
Sí, ya las he comido.
Las patatas – las
To sum up,
the pronouns we use are – lo, la, los, las
