ELEMENTARY COURSE, 2021, CLASS 4

 This week we continued with the present simple. We worked on the pages 12 and 14.

¿Verdadero o falso?- True or false?

Marco cocina mucho – Marco cooks a lot – verdadero

Marco ve muchas películas – Marco watches a lot of movies – falso

Marco juega al fútbol – Marco watches football – falso

A Marco le encanta la música pop – Marco loves pop music – falso

Marco no lee libros – Marco doesn’t read books – verdadero

Marco fuma – Marco smokes – falso

In the second part of the class, we compared our habits in Spain and Ireland when it comes to Halloween and Christmas. Some examples below:

En España las personas celebran el Día de Todos los Santos – In Spain people celebrate the Day of All the Saints.

Los españoles comen un dulce que se llama huesos de santo – Spanish people eat a pastry called Saint’s bones.

Los huesos de santo tienen huevo y harina – Saint’s bones have egg and flour.

Los españoles van al cementerio y llevan flores – Spanish people go to the graveyard and carry flowers.

Los irlandeses ven películas de terror – Irish people watch horror movies.

Los niños irlandeses hacen ‘truco o trato’. – Irish children do ‘trick or treat’.

Los irlandeses decoran calabazas – Irish people decorate pumpkins.

 

En Navidad, los irlandeses comen pavo y patatas – At Christmas, Irish people eat turkey and potatoes.

Los irlandeses reciben regalos de Papá Noel – Irish people get presents from Santa.

Los españoles comen doce uvas el día de Nochevieja – Spanish people eat twelve grapes on New Year’s Eve.

Los españoles reciben regalos de los tres Reyes Magos – Spanish people receive presents from the three Wise Men.
