A Rosa le
Podemos comprar
A ella le gustan mucho las marcas caras
¿Dónde lo compramos?
Lo compro yo en Discos Sonar
Creo que lo prefiere con frutos secos
We looked at
the difference between direct and indirect object pronouns
I gave the
book to my sister.
“the book”
is the direct object, because it answers the question “what?”
“to my
sister” is the indirect object, as it answers the question “to whom?” Indirect
objects often involve prepositions – to him, for her, etc.
In Spanish, the
third person singular direct object pronouns are….
Lo, la, los,
las
Quiero un helado. Lo voy a comprar aquí.
Tengo una entrada. La compré ahí.
Necesito manzanas. Las voy a comprar en Lidl.
Mi amigo tiene tres coches. Los compró en
Inglaterra.
There are
only two Indirect object pronouns – le (singular) and “les” (plural). They are
usually used for a person.
We use them
to replace “para él/ella” or “a el/ella”
Yo conté la historia a mi amiga. = Yo le conté la
historia.
Di el regalo a mi hermano. = Le di el regalo.
We often use the following verbs with an indirect object.... (more info here)
contar
dar
regalar
gustar
encantar
entregar
llevar
comunicar
quitar
For homework
we have to do the first 10 of the exercises in 4.6 on p.8/9 to find the mistakes, if there are any.
