This week we revised the topic of the house. In groups, we talked about our ideal house:
1.Una casa con piscina al lado de la playa - A big house with a pool by the beach.

3.Una casa en el campo - A house in the countryside

Vivo en un piso moderno en las afueras de Palma de Mallorca. - I live in a modern apartment on the outskirts of Palma de Mallorca.
Es una zona bastante tranquila. Vivimos en la quinta planta. - It is a quiet area. We live on the fifth floor.
Desde ahí hay una vista muy bonita del mar. - From there, there is a very nice view of the sea.
Somos 4 en la familia, mis padres, mi hermano y yo. - We are four in my family: my parents, my brother and I.
El piso tiene tres dormitorios, una cocina, un cuarto de baño y un salón. - The apartment has three bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a living room.
También hay una terraza. Cuando hace buen tiempo mi madre pone ahí sus plantas y el canario. - There is also a terrace/balcony. When the weather is nice, my mother puts her plants and the canary bird there.
Tengo un dormitorio propio, ahí tengo mi cama, un armario, una silla, y una mesa donde tengo mi ordenador. - I have my own bedroom, there I have my bed, a wardrobe, a chair and table where I have my computer.
En las paredes hay fotos de mis amigos, un calendario y un espejo. - On the walls, there are photos of my friends, a calendar and a mirror.
También hay una estantería donde pongo mis libros y mis DVDs. - There is also a shelf where I put my books and my DVDs.
Las paredes y las cortinas son de color rosa. - The walls and the curtains are pink.
Mi dormitorio es muy pequeño, pero me gusta mucho. Es mi sitio favorito. - My bedroom is very small but I like it a lot. It is my favourite place.
This week we started with the listening exercise about food on pages 16 and 17. Some new words and expressions:
