Clase 7
In this class we revised the topic of imperatives
An imperative (imperativo) is an instruction, command, or
piece of advice. In English this is simple… “Go!”, “Eat!”, “Don’t talk!” “Come
in” etc.
In Spanish, for the tú form, we use the third person of the
present tense for regular verbs…
Come – eat!
Trabaja – work!
Entra – Come in!
We looked at Pepito and his mother on p.16
levántate – get up
lávate – wash
sal – get out
Vuelve pronto – come straight home
some other vocab
te vas a mojar – you are going to get wet
mojar – to wet
mojado – wet
We watched a video and spotted some other imperatives…
Refréscate – cool down
diviértete – have fun
entra
infórmate
disfruta
vive
We then looked at the physical exercises on p.17 and matched
the verbs to the activites
da la vuelta –
turn around
levanta los
brazos – raise your arms
echa la cabeza
hacia atrás – put your head back
toca los pies con las manos – touch your feet with your hands
For homework we have to do the exercise on p.17 and 18, matching
each consejo to one of the sports mentioned
